AHIMSA(non-violence) ---------- In view of Gandhiji

Ahimsa a well known and very powerful word. This is the word which brought us the Independence, this is the word on which Gandhiji  lead his entire life. This word has motivated  and inspired many a people to fight for the country in a very peaceful manner. The greatness of this simple word let Britisher's know about our unity and our motto underlying the struggle for Independence. This single word gave lot of scope for Indian Freedom Fighting Movement.

But today really how many people do know about the real meaning underlying this simple but powerful word. Now a days we find people making fun out of this word and using this word in a very wrong manner. It is really their lack of understanding about this word AHIMSA. Some people think that ahimsa is nothing but not taking animal food and not torturing animals. Ofcourse this may be true , but only up to some extent only. Not taking animal food and not torturing them is only a part in  actual meaning of AHIMSA.

The real meaning of Ahimsa or Non-Violence is not to hurt any one with our actions, words,  and thoughts. Many of us knowingly or unknowingly hurt people by the words we speak to them, that may be in a jovial manner. This action is also considered as violence because the persons whom u addressed the words may hurt them without ur knowledge.

The another type of violence we r doing without our knowledge is  violence by thought. It may sound very strange to listen but it is playing major role in today's violent situations prevailing in the society around us.We all know that thoughts play very important role in materialising the situations in our daily life. So is the affect of thought process of the people upon the conditions prevailing in the society. Because of the stress and the cut throught competition prevailing around us is making our thought process to multifold. Out of this unhealthy environment prevailing around us we are not able to make healthy thoughts and emotions in the mind are also preventing us to make healthy thoughts. This unhealthy thought process in total is showing impact on our society and day to day situations we are facing.Hence we must be aware of violence through  thought process and start using thoughts in a very correct manner.

Another type of violence we are seeing is violence through actions. Our actions done without consiousness results in violence. This may be towards animal, plant, or even our co-human. So our each and every action should be free from emotions and thus we can act correctly even in a very harsh situations.

So when we are aware of these 3 realms where we do violence un noticedly we can really be very happy and can be real children of our great freedom fighters who brought us Independence at the cost of their lives. By really following Ahimsa in this manner we can fulfill the aspirations of our departed freedom figters who sacrificed their lives for our golden future both physically and spiritually.
